The LDAP Authentication extension is used on Wikitech as a dependency of the OpenStackManager extension. It was originally written for AuthPlugin and was never properly updated to use AuthManager. Third-party wikis wanting authentication via LDAP should use LDAPAuthentication2 or other LDAP extensions as explained at LDAP hub instead.
