Wikimedia participated in Google Code-in (GCI) from 2013 to 2019. The program was sponsored and run by Google and had pre-university students (ages 13-17) contribute to free and open source software (FOSS) projects. It was overseen by Wikimedia's Developer Advocacy team. This program was discontinued in 2019.
