As part of an experiment in MobileFrontend on the alpha mode, wikidata based infoboxes were implemented. These infoboxes when expanded would create an infobox populated from the statements on wikidata, providing automatic infoboxes, and the ability to edit the infobox and wikidata from the article page inline.
Status
Wikidata infobox was killed from MobileFrontend's alpha mode in 2015-2016 Q1 as part of the effort of removing the alpha mode. See https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T100722 .
