Role and Responsibilities

The program management role will encompass the following activities:

• Define the scope and desired outcomes of the Technical Debt Program.
• Define, implement, and maintain processes that support the avoidance and reduction of Technical Debt within WMF.
• Work with WMF component stewards to identify goals and targets regarding technical debt reduction.
• Provide regular communication to all stakeholders, as defined by RACI, regarding the activities and progress of the technical debt program.
• Collaborate and engage with working groups such as the Sunsetting Working Group.
• Chair the Technical Debt SIG.
• Communicate to and engage with the broader technical community (staff and volunteers) on topics of technical debt.
